Suspects in baseball bat attack arrested in Michigan
DURAND, Wis. (WKBT)- The two suspects wanted for their alleged involvement in a baseball bat attack have been captured.
The Buffalo Co. Sheriff’s Department says the two suspects are in custody in Michigan and awaiting extradition.
According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects in the baseball bat attacks were last seen in Arcadia.
Authorities have located both suspect vehicles, but the suspects remain at large.
Two individuals were severely injured after being struck with baseball bats Tuesday morning in Buffalo County.
The assault happened at about 9:47 a.m. on February 18 on Weisenbeck Road in the Town of Nelson. The suspects left before the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene and are still at large.
Authorities are asking for assistance in locating the two suspects. The first suspect is Erick Tlatemohue Tepole, 28, also known as Adbiel Ferr Ruiz, Kaleb Arango Ferran or Erick Tepole.
The second suspect has been identified as Rufino Zacaris Tehuacatl, 29. He has active arrest warrants from Trempealeau County.
Both suspects have family in Eau Claire and the Barron County area.
Both victims were taken via air ambulance to area hospitals and are in serious condition.
