Valley View Rotary hoists raffle with winner getting to brew own beer
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Valley View Rotary Club hopes people hop to it to enter its inaugural “Be the Brewmeister” fundraising raffle, offering the winner the opportunity to brew their own beer at Pearl Street Brewery in La Crosse.
Tickets in the spring fundraiser, which extends through June 17, are $10. Participants must be 21 or older to accept the grand and second-place prizes.
Proceeds will go toward the club’s community service projects, along with ongoing support for the St. Clare Health Mission and the Random Acts of Kindness to Stabilize Families Fund at Northside Elementary in La Crosse.
The grand prize winner will get to name and help create a unique batch of one of four styles of Pearl Street Brewery beer. It includes involvement with label design, beer production, brewing day and packing day.
Plus, the grand prize includes five cases of the personalized beer.
Second place will be a two-hour social at the Pearl Street Brewery for 10 to 12 people, featuring a choice of a one-sixth keg of beer and appetizers, along with a brewery tour.
Third- through 10th-place winners will take home $50 gift cards to La Crosse area restaurants and other businesses businesses.
The winners will be drawn during the Valley View club’s Moon Tunes concert on Thursday, June 17, in Riverside Park. If Moon Tunes is unable to be held because of COVID, the drawing will take place at the park’s new bandshell. Participants need not be present to win.
