MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) – The nation is working to slow down the pandemic, but many people are opposed to getting a vaccine

Experts want people to know about the myths surrounding the vaccine, including how effective it is, or if getting one is even necessary at all,

Other myths have people believing the vaccines were rushed and therefore not safe to take.

Some people also believe getting the second dose, of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, is unnecessary.

“The vaccines are designed to be two-dose so that the second Dose is able to boost the first one that you receive. And even if you have COVID-19 in between the first and second dose, you should still get that second dose,” said Dr. Ajay Sethi,

The Pfizer vaccine is currently the only vaccine in the United States available for 16 and 17-year-olds.
