UWL warns students about unwanted guests entering unlocked dorm rooms
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — UW-La Crosse is sending a strong warning to students living in the dorms.
Over the past semester, the university has gotten several reports of uninvited entries into students rooms.
Suspects have entered unlocked rooms of female students, going so far as making unwanted sexual contact.
It usually happens in the early mornings, typically on weekends.
University officials say they have identified the suspects and are taking steps to remove them from the residence halls as they investigate the incidents.
An email was sent out to students Monday, reminding them to lock their doors, along with tips on what to do if they’re ever in that situation.
