LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – UW La crosse’s department of theatre arts is putting on a classic production that people can enjoy from the comfort of home.

They’re performing “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” adapted by writer Joe Landry.

The play is produced as an old-fashioned radio show and is adapted from Frank Capra’s original holiday classic.

Radio plays are unique, actors are often playing several characters and use their voice, and facial expressions, to differentiate the characters.

The play will also have a live team of who are called ‘foley artists’ who will help create live, realistic sound effects, enhancing the performance.

This performance will be streamed only, there will be no live audience due to COVID-19.
