UWL sorority raises money for AIDS Resource Center with annual Teeter-Totter-A-Thon

Students were going back and forth on the U-W La Crosse campus, but it wasn’t over a debate.

The UWL sorority Gamma Sigma Sigma Beta Delta hosted its annual Teeter-Totter-A-Thon Friday. Students and the community could stop by to enjoy some music, yard games and raffles.

But it goes beyond just fun. The event serves as a fundraiser for the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin.

“It raises, really, a lot of awareness about AIDS and HIV, and we’re blessed to give back to the community. We also promote the essential health clinic which is right here in La Crosse, which does a lot for community members and campus students,” said Teeter-Totter-A-Thon Coordinator Alyssa Glassen.

Last year’s Teeter-Totter-A-Thon raised about a thousand dollars. Gamma Sigma Sigma is hoping to go beyond that amount.
