UW-La Crosse students begin returning to dorms
Classes resume September 8th
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – UW-La Crosse students are back on campus ahead of the fall semester.
Friday was the first day of early drop off for UWL students at dorms.
Student move-in is longer this year to help allow for social distancing and to decrease the number of people on campus.
No guests, including other UWL students, can be in dorm halls.
“Normally we would have done move in over a two day process. It’s really fast, a lot of volunteers. We have students and community members who provide some muscle to help move stuff into the residence hall and this year we just can’t. We’re trying to protect a little bit about, give a little bit of a bubble to campus,” said UWL residence life assistant director Lisa Weston.
The heaviest move in days were expected to be September 2nd through the 6th.
Classes resume at UWL on September 8th.
