UW-La Crosse Provost Weighs in on College Admission Process
Ensuring a fair admission process at UW-La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The college admissions process has long been a source of stress for parents and their kids, but the stakes may seem even higher today.
We checked in with UW-La Crosse to find out how they make sure their process is fair to all students that apply.
“I just want both students and their parents to feel like it’s a fair process, because we take it very seriously and these are professionals who do this, they are admissions professionals. And we do everything we can to try to look at a student holistically and make a good decision,” according to UW-La Crosse Provost Betsy Morgan.
Colleges with a holistic admissions policy are not simply looking for students with good grades.
Holistic admissions also weigh a student’s interests, passions, special talents, and personality.
