UW-La Crosse places high on “Top Public Regional Universities in the Midwest” list

The U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges listing has placed UW-La Crosse high on a list of Midwestern universities.

According to the list, UWL ranks 4 th on their list of Top Midwest Regional Universities, and for the 18 th year in a row, UWL is the top ranked comprehensive campus in the UW System.

Chancellor Joe Gow says, “we’re thrilled to remain the No. 1 comprehensive university in the UW System and No. 4 among the Midwest’s regional universities…These high-ranking marks from reputable external recognition validate the outstanding work being done every day by our faculty, staff and students. We’re very proud of these accolades.”

UW-La Crosse has held the No. 4 spot for five years in a row. The top three on the list are, respectively, Truman State University in Missouri, University of Northern Iowa, and Grand Valley State University in Michigan.

UW-Eau Claire is tied for the No. 5 spot with Eastern Illinois University and University of Michigan-Dearborn.

UWL ranks 58th in the Midwest for Best Value Schools among regional universities.
