UW-La Crosse Gymnastics tops Winona State, now 2-0 on season
UW-La Crosse gymnastics defeated Winona State on the road 189.2 to 179.225 Friday night in Winona to improve to 2-0 on the season.
The Eagles won every event and scored at least 46 points per event.
UWL’s Kerrie Legault secured the top score of the night, earning a 9.725 on uneven bars. Teammate Molly Lyngaas also competed on bars for the first time in over a year thanks to hip labrum surgery, and she secured a 9.625 to take second.
Olivia Opheim won beam for the Eagles with a 9.65, Jenna Danninger won floor with a 9.525, and Madi Vandepool won the vault with a score of 9.575.
