UW-L professor receives national recognition
Bob Hoar listed as one of nation's top innovators in digital education
LA CROSSE, WI — A UW-La Crosse math professor, who also serves as the associate vice chancellor for Academic Affairs has been named one of the nation’s top innovators in digital education.
Bob Hoar was listed as one of the top 40 individuals and projects nationwide in the Technology Innovation in Education Yearbook.
UW-L says Hoar was instrumental in assembling the team that starting the university’s successful Math Massive Open Online Course (MOCC). The Course was the UW System’s first MOCC. It won a national award—the 2013 Desire2Excel Award for individuals, groups or organizations that display exemplary ingenuity, creativity and collaboration in empowering students to achieve their academic goals.
