UPDATE: Names release in fatal Jackson County crash
BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WKBT) — Authorities have identified the two semi drivers involved in a head-on collision February 23 in Jackson County.
Guy Kolman, 55, of Chippewa Falls and Ricky Lindberg, 56, of Hixton, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
PREVIOUS: The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and several other agencies responded to a crash involving two semis in the Town of Curran Friday morning.
The initial report said two are dead after a head-on collision involving two semis on Highway 95 near N. Lincoln Road in Curran.
Authorities said Highway 95 will be closed for a few hours while the crash is investigated and a detour is posted.
Initial response to the crash was handled by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Hixton Fire and First Responders and the Black River Falls EMS. The crash is being investigated by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol.
