They found the missing man’s boat and trailer at the Dresbach landing. Crews continued to search just south of the Dresbach Lock and Dam No. 7 after finding the missing man’s damaged boat, boat motor, and life jacket.  Winona County Sheriff David Brand said a boating accident could have led to the man’s disappearance.

“We aren’t sure how it happened yet but according to looking at the boat, we believe it hit the roller gate number one, sunk, it took the motor off, it bent up the boat and it was found down stream,” said Brand.

Brand is now calling the search a recovery mission. Crews continued looking for the man Monday morning. If you have a boat and can help with the search efforts, you’re asked to contact the Winona County Sheriff’s Department (507) 457-6368.
