Upcoming Teen Summit raises awareness about teen dating violence
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – An event raising awareness about teen dating violence is coming up on Sunday.
The organization, End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin is hosting its annual Teen Summit virtually.
It’s bringing youth, parents, educators, activists, and mentors from all over the state together to learn about healthy relationships, teen dating violence, and sexual assault.
It’s also challenging preconceived notions on how to deal with these issues and is an opportunity to learn new strategies for successful prevention and education.
The three-day event starts Sunday, Feb. 28th at 1 pm.
There will be featured speakers, workshops, and other activities.
For teens who also want to attend the summit on Monday and Tuesday, End Abuse offers an excused absence form.
