Unvaccinated people at higher risk of hospitalization and death, new Wisconsin DHS data show

Hospitalizations nearly 11 times higher, and death, 15 times higher for those unvaccinated for COVID-19

The rates of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and death remain higher for people who are not fully vaccinated. The latest data for Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services shows the likelihood of testing positive for the virus is nearly five times higher.

Hospitalizations happen at a rate nearly 11 times higher, and for death, it is 15 times higher than those who are fully vaccinated.
