Unnamed donor to match donations to Riverside Park band shell
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- Riverside Park could see additional improvements following work on the new band shell that is being built.
An unnamed donor is planning to match donations through New Year’s Eve to the band shell consortium.
Projects could include renovated rest rooms and a storage space to replace the area that previously existed under the current band stand.
The new focus follows the completion of fundraising for the band shell project.
The redirected focus will change the band shell consortium into an organization known as ‘Friends of Riverside Park’.
“We have a lot of things that we can do to continue to enhance Riverside Park for our community, so we want to thank the community for their generous support,” said Band Shell Consortium member Terry Bauer.
Work will resume on the band shell construction in the spring as soon as the weather will allow.
