Under new CBA, Packers to report to training camp July 28

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that under the new NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) signed in March, most NFL teams will be reporting to training camp on the same day.

In the past, teams had to report to camp 15 days before their first preseason game. Per Schefter, teams are now going to report either 47 or 48 days before their Week 1 opener, in an effort to make training camp dates more uniform across the league.

Under these changes, both the Packers and Vikings, who face off Week 1 on Sept. 13, will report to their respective training camp July 28.

Schefter pointed out in his report that these dates could change due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
