Uke-A-Palooza brings ukulele enthusiasts together
Event included a beginner's group, a group sing-along, an open mic, and more
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Ukulele enthusiasts gathered together at the Best Western Midway Hotel on Sunday.
The 2nd annual Uke-A-Palooza brought about 100 ukulele players together to share their passion for the instrument.
Uke-A-Palooza is hosted by the CheezLand Uke Band Club which meets, learns, and teaches the ukulele in the La Crosse area.
The event included a beginner’s group, a group sing-along, an open mic, and much more. The president of the club says it’s all about having a good time.
“When we have our club meetings we really only have 2 rules. First rule is no criticizing, and the second rule is no throwing food, and then we just have fun,” said CheezLand Uke Band Club President Bill Trubilowicz.
The CheezLand Uke Band Club meets every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in La Crosse if you would like to join.
