U.S. Rep. Kind hosts listening session
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — An area politician is getting to know the residents he represents.
Congressman Ron Kind was in La Crosse Wednesday, holding a listening session. It was chance for residents to voice their thoughts and concerns directly to Kind, who will then bring their ideas back to Washington.
One hot button issue brought up was the controversial deal with Iran, which prevents the country from developing nuclear weapons.
In exchange, the U.S. would remove some of the economic sanctions put on the country.
“The vote is being teed up as early as next week I’m hearing now, so it’s almost decision time. I still have some information that I’m looking for, some things I’d like to see clarified before I am an ultimate decision,” said Congressman Kind.
If congress votes against the deal, the President could veto their resolution.
