Tyler Hannah leaves lasting impression after only one year at Prairie du Chien
PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. (WBKT)– In wrestling, Prairie du Chien had a dominant showing last weekend, winning their D2 regional team score by a margin of 113 points and sending 11 wrestlers to sectionals.
Tyler Hannah has been a big part of the team’s surge.
Hannah is currently top ranked in the State in his weight class, wrestling a perfect 42-0 before regional competition.
Hannah is a senior, and has only had a year to leave his mark as a Blackhawk, as he moved to Prairie du Chien after three years in Viroqua.
It’s a move that he says was made easier because the team welcomed him with open arms.
“It was a good move, and I gotta thank everyone at Viroqua for getting me where I’m at today, and I gotta thank everyone from Prairie du Chien for bringing me into this tight-knit community, and it really is like one big family,” Hannah said.
“Wrestling is about more than the sport, the community like I said that’s what makes you feel like you can just keep going and going and the team is what makes you who you are,” the senior added.
