Two arrested for drug possession in Black River Falls

Two women were arrested in Black River Falls during a traffic stop.

At about 4:00 p.m. Thursday, a Black River Falls officer stopped a car for failing to display license plates.

The officer noticed that the two passengers were shaking and could not explain who owns the vehicle. The officer then called for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office’s K9 unit to search the car.

Officers found scales, packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia, along with 8.46 grams of methamphetamine and 11.28 grams of marijuana. The drugs were split into individual packages.

28-year-old Trisha G. Abbott-Matthews of Sparta and 19-year-old Mariah C. Williamson of Stoddard are both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and marijuana, and felony bail jumping.
