‘Two-a-days’: The 2015 Ithaca Bulldogs
Season Opener: Aug. 21 vs. Cashton
ITHACA, Wis. (WKBT) — “Clary to Clary” Will that be a headline after a big Ithaca win this fall? Cousins Joey Clary (quarterback) and Nolan Clary (wide receiver) certainly hope so.
The cousin connection returns for another season under Joey’s father and Bulldogs head coach Chad Clary. This year redemption is on the minds of the Clarys and the entire roster after last season ended with a Division 7 sectional loss to Black Hawk.
“Last year was kind of disappointing, I really wish we could have went farther,” said senior running back Cody Klossowski. “But this year I know we are going to be determined because it is our last shot and I know these boys.”
Ending the season on a shutout is not the way a team that averaged over 50 points per game ever wants to end a season.
“We have a lot of potential and with potential you have to get up to where your potential is,” said senior lineman Brandon Fowell.
Last fall this team started (10-0) overall, and at times looked unstoppable. Will this prove true once again in 2015? Find out Friday when the Bulldogs open their season against Cashton.
