LA CROSSE (WKBT) – The two suspects from Friday’s triple homicide in the town of Hamilton, Khamthaneth Rattanasack and Nya Thao, were arrested Wednesday night and early Thursday, according to a news release from the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Office took Rattanasack into custody at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Amherst, which is east of Stevens Point in Portage County.

The La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thao at 1:45 a.m. Thursday in Wausau.

The sheriff’s office said the victims knew the suspects responsible for the homicide. Officials say the public is not in danger.

There is no connection between the homicides and Milestone Materials or any of their employees, according to a news release from Sunday.

Twenty-four-year-olds Peng Lor and Nemo Yang and 23-year-old Trevor Maloney were found dead at the Romskog Quarry on County Highway M Friday morning. All three were from the La Crosse area.

The triple homicide Friday was apparently the first in the county in nearly three decades.
