TREMPEALEAU CO., Wis. (WKBT) — The Trempealeau County District Attorney is speaking out following recent ethical concerns.
D.A. Taavi McMahon contacted News 8 Thursday morning saying he finds it “ridiculous and maddening” that the county’s executive finance committee took offense to his conduct.
The committee sent a letter to Governor Scott Walker earlier this month saying McMahon is neglecting his duties and creating a hostile work environment. McMahon says he cannot comment on specific personnel matters or matters that might end up in court, but did say all work is getting done in his office.
The governor’s office is encouraging the committee to discuss their concerns with the county’s counsel.
