Trempealeau County man rescued several hours after UTV crash
OSSEO, Wis. (WKBT)– A Trempealeau County man was trapped under a UTV for several hours before his neighbors heard his cries for help. He was found Saturday at 6:10 a.m. on Isom Rd. in the town of Hale, near Osseo.
Robert Hinrichs, 58, was driving the vehicle when he missed a slight curve in the road. The vehicle went off the road down a steep ditch where it rolled over, according to the Trempealeau County Sherrif’s Department.
Hinrichs was trapped underneath it for several hours before anyone heard his calls for help. First responders from the Hale and Osseo Fire Departments were able to get him out from underneath.
He was then airlifted to an Eau Claire area hospital. The Sheriff’s Department does not know what his injuries are at this time.
