Trempealeau County Fair wraps up
TREMPEALEAU, Wis. (WKBT) — Another event in the area is also wrapping up this afternoon.
The Trempealeau County Fair finished up just a few minutes ago with a carnival and trophy presentation.
The event is put on by the Trempealeau County Ag Society and is meant to promote local agriculture.
This year’s event featured a demolition derby, carnival rides, and of course, plenty of fair food.
Organizers say that despite difficulties with weather this weekend, it was still a successful year.
“Saturday we got some beautiful showers in the morning, but things cleared out of here Saturday night and we had a packed grandstand for the demo derby. We had a packed parking lot and we had a lot of people here and the rides were full. And today as you said, today is a beautiful Sunday,” President of the Trempealeau Ag Society Dennis Frame said.
Although the heat was in full force on Thursday and Friday, organizers say they took extra precautions to make sure all of the livestock was taken care properly.
