Tourism is starting to rebound in La Crosse
La Crosse County is ranked ninth in the state for tourism spending, according to the Wisconsin Department of Tourism
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – The hospitality industry in La Crosse is making a come back. Local restaurants and hotels are starting to rebound after the pandemic essentially put a halt on many industries.
While the pandemic is forcing some businesses to close their doors for good, those that survived the sudden drop in business are gaining ground much faster than anticipated.
And with more people wanting to get out of the house, the coulee region makes for a great getaway.
“It’s people from Chicago, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, that are just getting away. They want to get away for a long weekend and La Crosse is a great spot,” said Don Weber, owner of the Charmant Hotel.
La Crosse County is ranked ninth in the state for tourism spending, according to the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.
