Touch a truck event comes to Onalaksa

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT)- For the first time ever, the Onalaska Park and Recs department host their Touch a Truck event.

The event was at the Onalaska Omni Center parking lot.

Kids and families came out to explore and learn about many different types of vehicles.

There were emergency construction, transportation, utility, and even a helicopter from Gundersen Air.

It may have been the first event, but organizers say it was a huge success.

“I think that especially with this past year and COVID everybody being cooped up I think it’s a great way for kids to be outside and other families maybe haven’t seen in a while and just the community involvement I think some people missed over the last year and a half,” said event organizer, Alex Inglett.

There were around 30 total Vehicles at the event for kids to explore.
