Total Lunar Eclipse Tonight -Bill Graul
Another Really Nice Day for Monday!
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 51F / Monday’s Forecast High: 75F…
Partly cloudy this evening with isolated sprinkles before sunset far north. Most areas will stay dry with skies becoming mostly clear shortly after sunset. This will make for good viewing conditions of the total lunar eclipse tonight. Partial eclipse begins at 9:27 p.m. and ends at 12:55 a.m. Totality occurs from 10:29 p.m. until 11:54 p.m., with the maximum eclipse at 11:11 p.m. If you’ve never seen one, check it out… it’s pretty neat to see as the moon will turn a reddish/copperish color during totality as it passes through Earth’s shadow.
Expect lows tonight ranging from the mid 40s to low 50s with winds decreasing into the 5-10 mph range as the shift from the W to SW.
Another great day is in store for Monday with sunny to partly cloudy skies and pleasant high temps in the upper 60s to mid 70s. A bit breezy by afternoon with winds becoming NW around 5-15 mph, with gusts around 25 mph possible.
Mostly cloudy Tuesday as a disturbance tracks through the region, bringing a chance for showers and isolated thunder. Highs Tuesday will slip into the mid-upper 60s. Chance of showers and isolated thunder on Wednesday as well, with highs in the 65-70F range.
Looking Ahead… Much of Thursday will be dry, but then a chance for showers and t-storms late in the day and into Thursday night. We’ll have to watch the potential for some stronger storms at that time as well. Warmer Thursday with highs in the mid-upper 70s. Breezy with isolated t-showers possible Friday, with highs in the low-mid 70s.
Next weekend is looking mainly dry, but cooler with highs in the 60-65F range. Slight chance of showers and t-storms next Monday with highs in the mid-upper 60s. Have a good Sunday night and a great week ahead! -Bill Graul
