Tomah VA to host town hall meeting
March 12 meeting open to the public
TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) — The Tomah VA Medical Center will host a town hall meeting for veterans, their families and the community on Thursday, March 12 at 5 p.m. in the hospital chapel in building 425.
Organizers of the town hall said the event is open for people to ask Tomah VA’s Medical Center’s leadership questions about the facility’s programs and services.
“Medical center leadership and key clinical and administrative staff, including patient advocates, will be there to work one-on-one with any veterans with issues they wish to have addressed on the spot,” said the Tomah VA Public Affairs Office.
Similar town hall meetings are being held at VA facilities across the country quarterly at the direction of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and the Office of Accountability Review (OAR) are working on a joint investigation into allegations of over-medication and retaliatory behavior at the Tomah VA.
