Tomah VA opens new Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program
TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) — A new Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program for veterans is now open in our area.
The Tomah VA Medical Center held a ribbon cutting for the building on its campus Wednesday morning.
The space provides new treatment opportunities for mental health … as well as substance abuse issues.
Tomah VA leaders say by adding resources … patients can be seen quicker… positively impacting lives.
“Given an extended amount of time, they may chose a different option to deal with stuff or they may change their mind and say ‘You know what? Nevermind,” said Samuel Hipp Tomah AV Peer Support Services.
The average length of stay in the residential treatment program is 65 days.
