Tomah man facing homicide charge makes initial appearance
Goulet is accused of firing a gun in a Wilton tavern
SPARTA, Wis. (WKBT) – A lawyer for a Tomah man accused for firing a gun inside a Wilton tavern wants the case to stay on schedule.
Timelines for a preliminary hearing were not waived during an initial appearance Monday virtually in Monroe County Court.
Prosecutors say 51-year-old Curtis Goulet left the bar after minor confrontation.
They say he then went to his truck, got a gun, and went back into the bar and shot his gun two times.
An officer arrested Goulet later that night.
Goulet is facing multiple charges, including attempted first degree intentional homicide.
A May 10th preliminary hearing will be the next action in the case, according to court records.
