Tomah Health helping host blood drive Wednesday and Thursday

The blood drive will take place at Tomah's Recreation Park

TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) – COVID-19 concerns have decreased the amount of blood donations, prompting a blood drive in Tomah.

Tomah Health is teaming up with Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin to hold a blood drive at Tomah’s Recreation Park Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 22 and 23.

You can donate from noon to 5 p.m.

Versiti officials say blood collections are down more than 16,000 units of blood this year.

To donate, you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and have a form of valid ID; 16-year-olds can donate with parental consent.
