Tomah businesses win “Exemplary Employer” awards
TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT)- The State of Wisconsin is recognizing two Tomah businesses for hiring people with disabilities.
The Department of Workforce Development, secretary-designee presented Arena Products and Taphouse Twenty
with the “Exemplary Employer” awards. October is national disability employment awareness month. The owner of Taphouse Twenty hired Anthony Springer after Springer graduated and completed a 90-day internship and says it’s been a win-win for his business. “Brings humor every day for us so it was a joy to see him come to work every day. He’s excited to be here, helps us in the kitchen doing dishes, doing prep work. He wants to move up the ladder with us. Tell him to work hard and with dedication, we’ll see what happens, ” says Tyson Koput.
A total of 23 Wisconsin businesses received the state’s awards.
