Tlustosch sworn in as Circuit Court Judge
Tlustosch plans to run in primary election
LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse County has a new circuit court judge, at least for now.
Candice Tlustosch was sworn in by judge Scott Horne Thursday at the La Crosse County Courthouse. Tlustosch was appointed to the bench by Governor Walker earlier this month after Judge Dale Pasell retired in November. Before being appointed to the position Tlustosch ran her own law practice in Sparta.
Tlustosch hopes this won’t be a temporary position. She plans on running for seat permanently in next Tuesday’s primary election.
“I think this offers me an opportunity to really be a neutral fact finder rather than an advocate for one side or the other. I can really look at both sides of the story and really help people get to an end resolution and help do some problem solving,” said Tlustosch.
Family court commissioner Gloria Doyle and criminal defense attorney Brain Barton are also on the ballot in Tuesday’s primary.
