Tips for your New Years Day hangover
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — If you are one of the many people planning to celebrate the new year with a few drinks or glasses of champagne, you may want want to take steps to prevent a morning hangover. Hangover symptoms include headache, fatigue, nausea and dizziness several hours after heavy drinking.
While the only way to be sure to prevent a hangover is to not drink at all, Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse has some tips if you plan to have a few. They say drink lots of water and have a snack while drinking.
If you do wake up with a hangover, they recommend taking an over-the-counter pain medication. Other than that, their best advice is to go back to bed and give it time.
