TOWN OF VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT) — Three people were injured, including two who were taken to a hospital, in a two-vehicle crash about 12:30 p.m. Monday on U.S. Hwy. 14 at County Road Y in the Town of Viroqua, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.

Jada Schroeder, 23, of Westby, Wis., was traveling west on U.S. 14, turning left onto County Y, when she pulled in front of a pickup driven by 47-year-old Telly Miller of Viroqua, the sheriff’s report says. When the two collided,

Miller’s truck left the roadway and landed in a snowbank, while Schroeder’s passenger vehicle came to rest on the shoulder of the southbound lane, facing north.

Schroeder and her passenger, 19-year-old Sierra Hohneke of La Crosse, were injured, and Gundersen Health System Ambulance took to them to Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua. Miller also suffered minor injuries and sought medical treatment on his own.

All three were wearing seatbelts, and airbags deployed.
