Thousands of handmade goods go out to La Crosse area organizations
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Thousands of hand-crafted items are going to local organizations.
Tuesday was the first day of Coulee Region RSVP’s annual Handcraft Open House.
Area non-profits, medical facilities, and educational institutions can take and then distribute handmade pieces of clothing, blankets, and baby items.
The crafters that help RSVP have been working on these gifts all year.
“All of our [handcraft] volunteers, it’s near and dear to their heart and they want the people in the community to have these items,” said RSVP Director Ruth Kinstler.
Last year, RSVP gave away all 4,000 items made by those crafters.
This year, they’re hoping to do the same.
