Thousands get ready for Summer at the Family Fun Expo in Onalaska

As the warmer-weather quickly approaches, now is the perfect time to start planning out your summer activities.

To help families get a jump start, more than 50 different booths lined the OmniCenter in Onalaska handing out free activity pamphlets to families.

It’s all part of the Family Fun expo put on by Coulee Parenting Connection.

Attendees got the chance to paint, enjoy some live entertainment, ride ponies and eat some tasty food.

One organizer said it’s a lot of work, but it’s worth every smile.

“We look forward to this event all year long. Our staff spends the entire year preparing for this and it’s just putting together the most fun things families can do for free. Just come out and have a great time and learn more about what is going on in our area,” said Lissa Carlson, publisher and editor of Coulee Parenting Connection.

About 4,000 people attend the event every year.
