Thousands gather at Oktoberfest grounds for Between the Bluffs Beer, Wine, and Cheese Festival

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – People celebrated local businesses at the Between the Bluffs Beer, Wine, and Cheese Festival.

The party kicked off at noon Saturday and featured local vendors and craft beverages, as well as live music from Mr. Blink.

This is the 18th year of celebrations.

Organizers say many of the attendees are coming to La Crosse for the festival.

“They’re spending at least a day or two, a lot of people came in from out of town the night before for Tasters Eve and obviously going to be spending the night tonight, and it’s just great for our economic impact of the area, putting people in hotels, driving them to restaurants,” said Jeremiah Burish, the director of sports and events for Explore La Crosse.

3,300 attendees enjoyed 85 vendors set up at the Oktoberfest grounds.
