Third Street Aid Station sets up for 10th year at Oktoberfest
Aid station offers place to seek medical help, charge phones, get directions
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Oktoberfest-goers will once again have a place to go downtown to find help.
The Third Street Aid Station is returning for its 10th year at the corner of Third and Pearl Streets.
The station offers a place to charge cell phones, ask for directions or seek minor medical attention. It can also serve as a meeting place between groups of people that get separated during the Fest.
La Crosse Police Officer Brooke Pataska says the aid station has been a big success since it started ten years ago.
“We’ve had hundreds of people every weekend utilize it and and help out,” said Officer Pataska. “There are a lot of people that come through here needing the things that we provide.”
The aid station will be open from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday night and Saturday night.
