The window to apply for a Wisconsin tax rebate closes soon
MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) — Monday is the last day to sign-up for the $100-per-child tax rebate proposed by Governor Scott Walker.
Applications can be filed at childtaxrebate.wi.gov/_/. Information about the rebate can also be found there.
In order to qualify, your child must be a Wisconsin resident and under 18 as of December 31 st 2017. They must also be a U.S. citizen and be claimed as a dependent on your 2017 taxes.
To apply for the rebate you will need your Social Security number and residency for the 2017 tax year. You will also need your child’s social security number and date of birth.
Nonresidents and part-year residents that moved out of state in 2017 will need additional proof.
