The Radisson hosts WAFER Food Pantry food drive
Past years have seen more than a ton of food, couple thousand dollars
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Some hotel employees were waving to drivers in downtown La Crosse Thursday.
The Radisson hosted a food drive for the WAFER Food Pantry.
Starting at seven Thursday morning they lined parts of 2nd Street hoping passing cars would drop off food or money.
In the past they’ve averaged more than a ton of food and a couple thousand dollars.
“You’d think it’s a lot, but they go through it very quickly. So we will take all we can get,” said Radisson Chief Engineer Steve Smith.
This was the third year for this food drive.
