The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection reopens in La Crosse
Masks required and a limited numbers of people are allowed
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A community resource is reopening their doors to provide outreach.
The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection reopened Wednesday with limited hours.
The organization provides support for LGBTQ+ individuals in our area.
A $1,200 award from the La Crosse Community Foundation and Great Rivers United Way is allowing for the purchase of personal protective equipment.]
While the organization has gone online, there are somethings that need to be face to face.
“We’ve been providing support online for the last several months, but we really want to be able to here and people have access to anything that they might need,” said Alesha Schandelmeier, The Center 7 Rivers LGBTQ executive director.
Support groups will continue to meet online.
There is a limit of three visitors at one time and anyone in the Center must wear a mask.
