The Band Coulee Creek to release new album, donate part of profits to New Horizons Shelter & Outreach Center

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Area musicians are teaming up and using their talent to help individuals and families experiencing domestic and sexual abuse.

The Band Coulee Creek is releasing its new bluegrass album, “Matriarch”, and donating some of its profits to New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Center.

The band is made up of a group of Wisconsin and Minnesota musicians and poets.

Their songs and poems tell stories of the unknowns women face and the experiences they have as they navigate life.

Between March 1st to May 9th, Coulee Creek will donate $2 to New Horizons for each album sold.

New Horizon’s executive director said Wednesday the album’s name is fitting because every woman should be the matriarch of her own body, mind, and life.
