Target closing Minnesota stores in wake of violent protests
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (WKBT)- Target Corp. is closing more stores across Minnesota in the wake of violent protests this week after the death of George Floyd in police custody.
The Target stores in Winona and Rochester are included in the temporary closures.
The company said in a news release, “We are heartbroken by the death of George Floyd and the pain it is causing our community. At this time, we have made the decision to close a number of our stores until further notice. Our focus will remain on our team members’ safety and helping our community heal.”
