Couleecap puts focus on women in poverty

In a recent Couleecap community concerns report, the organization points out one in three women in this country are either living in or on the brink of poverty. In every age group, women are more likely to be poorer than men.

Poverty level in Wis. highest in 30 years

A recent report from the University of Wisconsin Applied Population Lab found 13 percent of people in the Badger State live in poverty.

Report: More than 29,000 live in poverty, more than 8,000 children

More than 29,000 people living in Crawford, La Crosse, Monore and Vernon counties lives in poverty. That's according to a new report from CouleeCap, a nonprofit organization serving the needs of low-income families in those four counties.
