Homelessness in La Crosse Co. could end in year, consultant says

Local organizations serving the homeless are giddy with anticipation because in about a week, a nationally recognized consultant, Erin Healy, will be heading to La Crosse to try to identify ways to get more people off the streets and into housing. And the consultant has some lofty goals.

Number of unsheltered homeless continuing to rise

News 8 joined a few local organizations to search the city of La Crosse for those who are unsheltered Thursday. During the search, the evidence seemed to be clear that there are plenty of people in La Crosse with nowhere to call home.
