Floodwaters around La Crosse area not expected to fall soon

Its been nearly a month since the Mississippi River in La Crosse first rose above flood stage and the water level isn't expected to fall any time soon. The floodwaters continue to threaten homes and businesses and impact travel. 

City Looks For Solutions For Houses Impacted By Flooding

Large amounts of snow melt this spring is causing flooding in La Crosse and that's creating big issues for some in our community, but the city is hoping to help. Properties that sit below the floodplain struggle with flooded basements and structural problems and pumping alone can cause more problems with all the extra water going into the street. The city met this morning to find a way to help those home owners.
