Sunny and Pleasant Tomorrow
Rain and Snow Possible Sunday
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 25/Tomorrow’s Forecast High: 41
Good evening… it was a beautiful day by late November standards. We saw a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the 40s in many areas.
As we head into tonight, look for high pressure to build in from the west. It will try to scour out the clouds, but I think northern sections of the viewing area may see a mix of clouds and stars, while southern sections of the area see mostly clear skies. Look for lows to dip into the upper teens to middle 20s. The good news is north winds will remain on the light side… around 5 mph.
Look for a sunny and rather pleasant Saturday. It will remain on the cool side with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s in the north and the upper 30s to lower 40s in the south. Again, look for light winds.
A weak disturbance will drop toward the area tomorrow night. This system will bring an increase in clouds tomorrow evening. It could bring a few snow showers late tomorrow night. Look for lows in the 20s.
We’ll start Sunday with a chance at snow showers. However, as temperatures warm, we ‘ll transition to rain and snow or possibly all rain. Sorry hunters, but snow accumulations look to remain light… under a half inch.
Looking ahead… we’ll start the Thanksgiving holiday week with increasing clouds and a cool start as highs top out in the 30s. We’ll have to watch Monday night and Tuesday as a storm system may bring a messy mix of rain and snow. It most likely will start out as snow Monday night into Tuesday morning before changing to all rain or a rain and snow mix during the afternoon. This could have an impact on holiday travel, so if you have travel plans, you will want to check later forecasts.
The rest of the week looks dry and seasonable, including Thanksgiving Day. Right now, we are calling for a partly sunny day, with highs in the middle 30s to middle 40s.
Have a great night and a great weekend! -WKBT Cory Malles
